Removing student learning barriers
The FRC was created as part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA). The Resource Center is another way that our school provides services to remove the barriers that prevent students from succeeding in school. Parents and teachers agree that it is extremely difficult for children to be successful in school when their families face so many problems.
Our Family Resource Center is pro-active in assisting our children and their families with these problems by providing direct services at the center or by linking families to other resources in the community such as:

Information on Local Child Care Services

Services for new and expectant parents

Information on Support Groups
The FRC is available to all children, parents and families in La Grange as well as families in the district preschool programs.
