Coaches & Specialists

  1. Reading Recovery Specialists:

  2. Reading Recovery is a highly short-term intervention of one-to-one tutoring for low-achieving first graders.  Each day your child will receive a 30 minute lesson that is tailored to his/her reading and writing needs.  Reading Recovery is used as a supplement to good classroom teaching.

  3. In Reading Recovery, individual students receive a half-hour lesson each school day for 12 to 20 weeks with a specially trained Reading Recovery teacher.

  4. Instruction is provided until the child is reading at or above the average of his or her class AND has acquired
    independent reading and writing strategies.
